Laser Tattoo Removal
We offer tattoo removal treatment for brow and body tattoos, via both laser and non-laser methods. The choice of method depends on the colour, age and area of the tattoo.
Laser tattoo removal is safe, effective and a fast solution for removing unwanted tattoos. It is a minimally invasive treatment and has an unsurpassed treatment success rate compared to alternative methods.
The Q-switched Nd: YAG laser combines 4 wavelengths in an advanced solution meaning it provides the ideal combination to treat most colour tattoos. It is effective at removing more complex tattoos and because of its selective nature, the Nd: YAG is hardly absorbed in melanin meaning that this wavelength can be safely used on all skin types.
How does it work?
The laser shatters the tattoo with short and strong laser pulses that penetrate into the skin. The pigment in the ink absorbs the pulses and the laser light is transformed into photoacoustic waves. The ink is mechanically broken down into smaller particles which are then naturally absorbed by the body’s own immune system.
The length and number of treatments really depends on your tattoo, so we always recommend a thorough consultation. Anaesthesia is not always required as we use cold air from a Cryo-Jet cooling system.
Non Laser Saline Tattoo Removal
Saline removal is a non-laser option to tattoo removal. We tattoo a highly concentrated amount of salt into the skin which is then removed externally instead of internally. This allows the pigment particles to be released from a scar rather than to be excreted through the human waste system. We cannot remove more than 1 square inch of tattoo on the skin and up to four complete passes. This is about the size of a full set of brows or a small sized tattoo.
Please note, tattoo removal is not possible if you are pregnant or have a bleeding disorder.
